While this race report is well overdue, accounts of our US visit just wouldn’t be complete without a report on our last race, Tour de Gaslight. His most convincing argument was that Jeannie was in need of assistance as she was currently tied for 3rd overall and in 2nd for the sprint competition. However, the Monday weather looks hot and dry and we'll be out there at 7:45 ready to rock!

Due to the cancellation we will be rolling any Sunday pre-registrations for the Men 50/55, 40+ 1/2/3, 40+ Cat 4 and Men 30+ into Monday.

Knowing I probably wouldn’t make the front group over the top of the climb, my job was to stamp out aggressive moves at the beginning of the race and protect our GC rider, Lindsay Myers, who was 7th overall. It's a two hour research study and participants receive $100 for the study visit plus a VO2MAX exercise test.

Yes, in spite of a power outtage, the resourceful ABD club forged ahead with the 2nd indoor TT of the season.  Thanks to all the volunteers who got the generators cranking to keep the computrainers going so we racers could continue to "race" nowhere fast in the dark!

As if my first Shootout experience weren’t enough to scare me away, I was back for more 2 weeks later in the cold desert hours of the morning. For a teenager, this was like having to wake up at 3:00 a.m., which was the equivalent of 6:00 a.m. in regular people hours.

In preparation for a double century in California next month, Ken jumped on the Computrainer at 8 a.m. with the Endurance class and rode through two Boot Camp classes yesterday to rack up 6+ hours and 133 miles! 

We're honestly so blown away we can't even remember what the previous record might have been.

For those of you who have their own skiing equipment, most of the DuPage FP locations (Herrick Lake, Blackwell, Mallard Lake) are fair to good.  There is no track set, and you may have to deal with walkers/dogs/etc.  I would suggest Mallard Lake as it is one of the locations that has low foot traffic.
