The International Cycling Classic is now well underway and August is just around the corner. August is the hottest month of cycling for USA Cycling and here is what's in store. Pass this info on to your teammates:
The first race in August is on the August 4 and is the Second Annual Grayslake Cycling Classic with over $4,000 in cash and prizes.
Then The $15,000 Elgin Cycling Classic happening the next day on August 5 to round out the first weekend with $19,000 in racing.
The following weekend comes The Tour of Elk Grove with a $200,000 purse! And then the National Criterium Championships in Downers Grove the week after that.
Wrapping up the month are two other races:
August 25--Sherman Park Criterium (Chicago, IL)
August 26--Glencoe Grand Prix (Glencoe, IL)
